GEEK VIBES S. DE R.L. DE C.V.
COOKIE POLICY
Detailed policy on the use of cookies and tracking technologies on the website https://geekvibes.agency.
1. Introduction
Geek Vibes S. de R.L. de C.V. (hereinafter, "Geek Vibes") uses cookies and other similar tracking technologies on its website https://geekvibes.agency (hereinafter, the "Site") to improve user experience, analyze Site usage and, when the user expressly consents, display personalized advertising.
This Cookie Policy (hereinafter, the "Policy") describes what cookies are, what types of cookies Geek Vibes uses, for what purpose, how long they remain active and how users can manage their preferences at any time.
This Policy complements Geek Vibes' Comprehensive Privacy Notice, available at https://geekvibes.agency/legales/privacidad. In case of discrepancy between both documents, the provisions of the Privacy Notice shall prevail.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that a website stores on a user's device (computer, tablet, mobile phone) when they visit the site. Cookies allow the site to remember information about the current visit or previous visits, enabling certain functionalities and improving user experience.
Cookies can be two main types based on their duration:
• Session cookies: are automatically deleted when the user closes the browser. They are used to keep the session active during the visit.
• Persistent cookies: remain stored on the user's device for a period defined by the site (which can range from minutes to years). They allow the site to recognize the user on subsequent visits.
They can also be classified based on their origin:
• First-party cookies: are placed directly by the domain the user is visiting (in this case, geekvibes.agency).
• Third-party cookies: are placed by domains other than the one the user is visiting. They generally come from integrated services such as analytics tools or advertising networks.
3. Types of cookies used by Geek Vibes
Geek Vibes classifies the cookies it uses into four categories based on their purpose. Essential cookies are the only ones that do not require user consent because without them the Site could not function correctly. The other categories require explicit user consent.
3.1 Essential cookies
These cookies are strictly necessary for the Site to function. They allow users to navigate pages, use basic functions and keep their session active. Without these cookies, the Site could not operate correctly.
Examples of use:
• Remember the language selected by the user (ES or EN).
• Keep the session active during navigation.
• Protect forms against CSRF (Cross-Site Request Forgery) attacks.
• Store cookie preferences set by the user in the management banner.
Legal basis: legitimate interest of the Data Controller (article 8 of the LFPDPPP and article 11 of its Regulation).
3.2 Functional cookies
These cookies allow the Site to remember user preferences to offer a personalized experience. They are not strictly necessary for the Site to function, but significantly improve user experience.
Examples of use:
• Remember visual preferences (dark mode, preferred font, if applicable).
• Remember the last section consulted by the user.
• Remember if the cookie banner has already been managed by the user.
Legal basis: express user consent granted through the cookie banner.
3.3 Analytical cookies
These cookies allow Geek Vibes to measure and analyze in aggregate the behavior of Site visitors, in order to improve content, design and overall experience. The information they generate is aggregated and does not allow identification of individual users.
Examples of use:
• Count the number of unique Site visitors.
• Identify the most visited pages.
• Measure the time spent on each page.
• Identify the most common devices, browsers and screen resolutions.
• Analyze traffic source (organic, direct, social media, campaigns).
Geek Vibes uses Google Analytics 4 as its main analytics tool, configured with IP address anonymization and without activating Google Signals features that would allow cross-device identification.
Legal basis: express user consent granted through the cookie banner.
3.4 Marketing cookies
These cookies allow Geek Vibes and its advertising partners to show relevant advertising to users outside the Site (on other digital platforms) and measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns.
Examples of use:
• Display Geek Vibes ads on platforms such as Meta (Facebook, Instagram), LinkedIn or Google Ads to people who previously visited the Site (remarketing).
• Measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns through conversion tracking.
• Exclude from campaigns users who have already requested information from Geek Vibes.
Marketing cookies are placed by both Geek Vibes (own) and external providers (Meta, LinkedIn, Google). Consent for these cookies is given separately and specifically in the cookie banner.
Legal basis: express user consent granted through the cookie banner.

5. Consent management
5.1 Cookie management banner
On the first visit to the Site, users will see a cookie management banner that allows them to make an informed decision before non-essential cookies are installed on their device. The banner offers the following options:
• Accept all: the user consents to the installation of essential, functional, analytical and marketing cookies.
• Reject all: only essential cookies are installed (without which the Site cannot operate). Functional, analytical or marketing cookies are not installed.
• Customize: the user individually selects which cookie categories to accept. For example, they can accept analytical cookies but reject marketing ones.
5.2 Preference modification
Users can modify their cookie preferences at any time using the "Manage cookies" button available in the footer of all Site pages. By clicking this button, the cookie management panel reopens and users can update their preferences.
Preference modification takes effect immediately. If the user revokes consent for a cookie category, the corresponding cookies that were already installed on their device will be automatically deleted on the next page load, or the user can delete them manually from their browser settings.
5.3 Consent storage
User cookie preferences are stored locally on their device through an essential cookie called gv_consent. This cookie has a duration of 1 year, after which users will be asked to renew their consent.
If the user changes device, browser or deletes cookies from their device, they will need to manage their preferences again on the next Site visit.
6. Cookie management from the browser
In addition to the management banner available on the Site, users can manage cookies directly from their web browser settings. Each browser offers different options to:
• Block all cookies.
• Block only third-party cookies.
• Delete stored cookies.
• Set alerts when a site attempts to install cookies.
• Configure exceptions for specific sites.
